Jeremy started watching United after being taken to a match, aged 9, and was hooked as the crowd sent tingles up his spine. This was in 1975 (Wolves, 1-0, Hill scored right at the end!) and after discovering his grandfather's brother worked on the turnstiles, he became a regular in the Stretford End Paddock, getting in for free! Even when he retired and Jeremy had to pay, it was still only 70p which would be about £5 today and he paid for it with money earned doing a paper round. How many kids today could pay for regular football this way? It worries him that the average age of supporters is so high these days as younger people are priced out. It took him 12 years to get a season ticket and yet today they are on general sale.

Jeremy has had so much fun following United over the years, home and away, including many European trips and is so pleased his side of the family was red and not blue, maybe not through the 'Sexton years', but the rest of the 30+ years have been great, on the field at least if not the various owners.

It saddens him when he sees owners so blatantly taking advantage of fans to line their own pockets, so he has been helping at MUST because he passionately believes that fans should at least have a say in the way the club is run, but the possibility of fans owning the club is an even better aim and he looks forward to being able to help MUST achieve all its aims.
