Sean Bones

Most people know Sean to be a passionate, caring and friendly red. For the last twenty five years he has worked at a factory less than a mile from Old Trafford and is a former Shop Steward and GMB Trade Union Convenor. Most of his day is spent like other reds at work around the world discussing the team and the matches played.

He is always happy to chat about anything Manchester United. He is pro supporter ownership of the club but at the same time also appreciates the difficulties of one day making this a reality. Sean has supported United since he was a child and believes the most important part of any football club is it's supporters.

Sean feels that supporters contribute everything financially to the football club, directly and indirectly. So it's right that they should play a part and have some input and influence in the decision making processes at Old Trafford.

It would be a great day when all future profits of Manchester United go towards reducing ticket prices for supporters, improving the atmosphere and increasing the stadium capacity at Old Trafford, having transfer funds available for the manager to purchase and compete for the best players in the world and for the club to look after the Manchester United community and charities that need our help and support.

Sean understands that most reds are totally focused on the team and the clubs achievements on the pitch. Football politics and debt finance are not every supporters cup of tea and Sean respects that. He has learned this from his experiences in SU and MUST and his many conversations with reds in Manchester and from around the world.

Sean thinks of MUST as a constantly evolving voluntary organisation made up of people who give their precious time because they simply love their football club. MUST is about sharing every reds passion for Manchester United and building a red network, giving all United supporters the opportunity to communicate, to work together positively for the good of Manchester United and for supporters to have the influence to protect the legacy left to us by Sir Matt so that 'United' is as special for our children and their families as it is for us today.
