About the Manchester United Supporters Trust

Our Aims

Our objective is simple. We envisage a future where the supporters of Manchester United FC have a meaningful ownership stake in the club. Click the link above to read how we intend to do this, and why we think we will succeed.

The Phoenix Fund

It's a bold but achievable plan. Out of the ashes of supporters' shareholdings, we are (re)building funds to ensure a future where the fans possess a meaningful stake in the club when the Glazers' smoke-and-mirrors plan fails.

History

The 1998-99 season saw the greatest achievement in the history of football. But it was also noteworthy for a David v Goliath victory in which a small group of supporter-shareholders helped knock back MUFC's takeover by Rupert Murdoch and BSkyB. Click the link above to read about the history of the group that began as Shareholders United Against Murdoch (SU-AM).

Organisation

MUST is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of United supporters in the mould of supporters' trusts across the UK. Click the link above to find out more about MUST and the Supporters Direct movement.

Committee

MUST is entirely volunteer-run as a labour of love for the club. Click the link above to find out more about the people our members have elected to the MUST steering committee.

Patrons

We are fortunate indeed to have celebrities and current and former players who are equally committed to the future we envision for our club. Click the link above to see the familiar faces who believe in an independent United.
