1. HELP REQUIRED - CARD DISTRIBUTION ON SUNDAY
Even if you're not coming to the SU meeting (see below) we need help handing out up to 60,000 cards with a STOP GLAZER message. Cards can be picked up from the SU meeting (from 12pm to about 2:30 - see below) or from any RED NEWS seller around Old Trafford. We'd like to express our thanks to all 3 fanzines - RED ISSUE, UNITED WE STAND and RED NEWS for their continued support. All 3 have generously given us a free page (or more) once again in their new issues, which are out for the Arsenal game so we hope our members will show our collective gratitude by buying all 3!

2. MATCHDAY ANTI-TAKEOVER ACTIVITIES
We have been contacted by a number of groups with regard to their plans for demos of one kind or another and so we are providing information to members who may wish to get involved.

In particular there is an appetite for a FLAG DAY. Whether you want to get involved in other things or not is up to you but if you have a flag or banner then bring it, buy one (not from Megastore!) or make one.

Below is a timetable of events but it should be stressed that SU is not responsible for organising all of these events but is merely passing on the information for those members who may be interested. We hope you all are.

12:00 SU meeting at O'Briens

2:00 (approx) Card distribution up to kick off
2:00 Flash mob - see below
3:30-3:40 Flag procession down Sir Matt Busby Way ending on the forecourt (see below)
4:05 Batter Arsenal on the pitch
5:45 - 5:55 At final whistle - hand out cards on main exit gates for 10 mins
6:00 Flash mob megastore / celebrate beating Arsenal

Details of "Flash Mob" and "Banner/Flag Day" appear at end of this email.

3. SU MEETING - 12 NOON - PRE-MATCH - MEETING NOT RESTRICTED TO MEMBERS ONLY

** IMPORTANT - change of venue for meeting on Sunday**
Please note that members can bring friends (hopefully to join) so please get them to come along too even if they aren't members.
For those attending the Arsenal(H) game on Sunday (those without tickets who are coming to the meeting may wish to watch the match on the big screen at O'Briens) :
Please note that the SU meeting will take place at O'Briens, Stretford Mall (formerly Stretford Arndale - see directions below) at 12:00 on Sunday 24th October before the Arsenal(H) game (k.o. 4.05pm).
THIS IS A CHANGE OF VENUE. THE MEETING WILL **NOT** BE AT PLATTS.
In addition to the more formal SU EGM we will welcome all supporters concerned about a takeover to come along and have their say. Please feel free to ask questions, put forward ideas and volunteer to get involved.
We will also be distributing 60,000 STOP GLAZER cards before and after the match - more details to follow. Please help if you can - we need everyone to do their bit. It need only take a few minutes immediately after final whistle or perhaps longer leading up to kick off if you're happy to do so.
DIRECTIONS TO O'BRIENS
We are meeting upstairs at O'Briens pub, Stretford Mall (formerly Arndale) on Chester Road. Buses run to and from Old Trafford and it is 15-20 minutes walk. The nearest tram stop is Stretford Metrolink on the other side of Chester Road.
Those coming in from the motorway along Chester Road will pass O'Briens on the left just after passing "The Drum" on the right. There is plenty of free parking behind the pub and in the Stretford Mall multistorey car park.
You can find a map here: http://www.shareholdersunited.org/obriens.php

MATCHDAY ACTIVITIES
The following are activities organised by individuals and groups of fans independently of Shareholders United and we have been asked to pass these on to our members.

FLASH MOB - FROM RED ISSUE FORUM
anti-glazer action - put up or shut up
this point was made at the IMUSA meeting the other week and has now been discussed and given the go-ahead. all you on here who have been dying to help out in this have absolutely no reason not to do the following. you've all talked the talk on here, now it's time for action.
basically to have any real effect on glazer we have to adopt the right strategy. clearly if we could put pressure on Nike and/or Vodafone (it's their sponsorship money he's chasing after all) they will in turn be set against the takeover.
with that in mind it has been suggested that united fans "flashmob" the megastore on matchday. if it's full of anti-glazer Utd fans in there no customers will get in (security won't breach fire safety rules on capacity). with no customers in there Nike won't be making any money and they won't be very happy having stumped up for this big contract with Utd.
security can't stop you getting in - how can they differentiate between megastore customers and those just going in to "look around". if they do try and stop you, in effect a picket line forms at the doors.
everyone should get there for 2pm and stay for the duration. if you can't give up two hours of your time for this then what?
put up or shut up. megastore, 2pm Sunday. (and back in for half an hour after the game). who's in?

FLAG DAY / BANNER MARCH - WE SHALL OVERCOME
If you have a flag or banner - please bring it on Sunday. If you don't then why not knock one up. Anti-Glazer or pro-United - whatever you want.
A large group are going to be carrying their flags and banners down Sir Matt Busby Way at 3:30 - 3:40. This is not intended to be a slow march to disrupt kick off or annoy anyone but rather an opportunity to demonstrate feelings re: a takeover. Some big flags are anticipated so it should look spectacular. Be a part of it. Meet at 3:30 by the Trafford pub at the top of Sir Matt Busby Way.

WE SHALL OVERCOME
WE SHALL OVERCOME
WE SHALL OVERCOME SOME DAY

OH DEEP IN MY HEART
I DO BELIEVE
THAT WE SHALL OVERCOME SOME DAY

UNITED!
