Membership & Recruitment Report
The year 2004/2005 has shown another incredible rise on the recruitment front. From a total of 8682 members at March 2004 to 25876 members in March 2005. SU membership has risen by nearly 300%. This is an increase of 17194 new members in the year to March 2005 period.
We continue to work with IMUSA, the fanzines and Manchester United supporters clubs up and down the country and around the world in the 'Not For Sale' campaign. Our aims have been to protect and defend the club against predators like Malcolm Glazer and then to build a significant supporter shareholding base at the club.
SU would like to express it's heartfelt thanks to all it's members for their continued support and for the hard work they have put in to build a friendly and passionate organisation. The pressures this year have been immense, but together we should all be proud at what has been achieved on the road to independence.
