Quick synopsis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the Welcome, Attendance and Apologies were taken care of, the meeting was informed that Sean Bones would be chair, as Nick was unable to attend, due to a family illness.

The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed to be a true record and there were no matters arising.

The brief reports stated that, financially, MUST is doing fairly well. As far as I-MUST is concerned, the website is now officially live and the distribution of cards after the Liverpool game was hoped to bring in more members, as well as being the first of many such distributions. MUST merchandise will be available on the MUST website shortly and a `shopping trolley` is to be added, so members can purchase badges and T-shirts. Roy Keane has been invited to become a Patron and MUST awaits his reply. It was decided that there would be no further approach to Eric to become a Patron, due to the lack of response from him on the numerous occasions he has been invited in the past. It was also felt that he was making favorable comments, as far as MUST is concerned, anyway and possibly he could be asked to become Chairman, when the time comes that MUST achieves its aims and objectives. The Newsletter will be arriving with members within a couple of weeks.

The launch of MUST has gone ahead and it is hoped to raise some media awareness of the fact during the next few weeks. The card distribution will help in this matter. Much discussion took place on whether or not to keep pushing the `debt`, during the launch and subsequent publicity. It was felt that too many people are in denial about this, not wanting to be reminded of it, so MUST should concentrate more on the positive aspects of its objectives, which should allay the fears of those who believe we only want to bring the club to its knees.

The Manchester Evening News will run an article and several advertisements telling its readers about MUST and the new United Mobile deal, this week and weekend. If as many sign up as expected, this will mean a raising of significant amounts for the PF.

The online games have done quite well, although there is room for further improvement. This should happen once the new, moving advert is placed on the MUST website.

The next Committee meeting is to take place on Sunday 26th March, at 12.30 p.m, at O’Brien’s in Stretford
