Manchester Disunited, The Stirrer's documentary about the takeover of England's most famous football club has earned a rave review in the latest edition of premier fanzine When Saturday Comes.

Aspiring to a Michael Moore style mix of humour and acid commentary, it tells the story of the arrival at Old Trafford of American gazillionaires the Glazers and the subsequent creation of a breakaway club by disgruntled fans.

WSC reviewer Pete Green says “it’s a film offering genuine insight into the predicament of fans who hate their club has come to represent”

He concludes that it’s an “accessible introduction to these issues for supporters who may not have given them much thought, and a satisfying recap for those who have.”

Hopefully, the positive review will encourage some brave soul to give the film a screening in the north-west where it has never been shown – not surprisingly perhaps because as well as offering sympathy and understanding, it rips the piss out of them too.
