Press release: NEW SEASON. SAME GOAL

In response to reports of Sir Alex Ferguson's comments Ferguson urges fans to get behind the Glazers a M.U.S.T. spokesperson said:

M.U.S.T. agrees wholeheartedly with Sir Alex that the first priority is to get behind the team - especially for those supporters who are inside the stadium and can influence the players on the pitch. We also welcome his continued backing for the supporters right to show their opposition to the owners through the Green & Gold campaign which helped to create a great atmosphere last season.

Undoubtedly there will be fewer scarves of any colour on display in the warmer months of the early season and no doubt some saw it as a fashion accessory for last season only. However Green & Gold will remain a powerful symbol of the continued desire for a change in ownership at Manchester United - a desire which burns within the vast majority of Manchester United supporters whatever colours they choose to wear.

The Glazer family are loved by fans of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool as much as they are disliked by Manchester United supporters. That tells you all you need to know about their effect on our club.

The results on the pitch after the Green & Gold campaign was launched in late January were significantly better than those beforehand which suggests the sense of unity was transmitting to the players on the pitch too. The protests were muted for the home games against Chelsea and Bayern Munich but those two games effectively ended our challenge for both the league and Europe. Contrast that with the 4-0 thrashing of AC Milan which was accompanied by the most spectacular Green & Gold display of the whole season.

It seems clear that the unity generated by the Green & Gold campaign helps the team on the pitch while at the same time showing our opposition to the damage the Glazers are doing by taking hundreds of millions of pounds out of our club. Supporters wear Green & Gold because they care about the future of Manchester United as well as the present. As Patrice Evra said:" The fans wear Green and Gold because they love this club."

Sir Alex has also called for fans to remain unified and to avoid divisions which only play into the hands of our rivals. We echo that sentiment too. It is crucial that supporters are tolerant and respect the views and choices made by others - whether they wear Green & Gold or Red, White and Black.

It is tremendous to hear that Sir Alex likes our "New Season, Same Goal" slogan. What are the odds on this season seeing the club's 19th league title (a goal we all share) and the change in ownership that supporters crave and deserve. Perhaps that would be the greatest double in our history.

MUST statement sent to press today June 2 2010:

MUST welcomes the statement from the Red Knights group that they remain determined and committed to achieving the ultimate aim of a supporter-owned club.

MUST also supports the Red Knights reinforcement of their position that they will not pay above fair value for Manchester United. This is in the best long term interests of Manchester United FC and its supporters.

Rather than lining the Glazers pockets with yet more of our money, we want to invest instead in squad strengthening, stadium improvement, rewarding loyalty with fairer ticket prices and paying down the debt - not to mention the fact that if supporters are going to be able to afford a decent chunk of the shares in the second phase of the Red Knights takeover, then an inflated valuation will significantly impact on that. Haven't the Glazers taken enough money off supporters already?

Our understanding is the collective net worth of the Red Knights far exceeds that of the Glazers. It isn't about a lack of resources. It is about fair value and doing what is right the Football Club.

We understand the intention of the statement from the Red Knights is to remove the time deadline pressure and set more realistic expectations with regard to a bid. There is no rush – the pressure is building on the Glazers with matchday revenues declining and the need for huge investment in the playing squad over the next few seasons, especially when Sir Alex retires. There is increasingly fierce competition both domestically and in Europe especially from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, along with new challenges even for Champions League qualification coming from Spurs and Manchester City. This will increase competition for the best players and consequently the costs associated with maintaining the club's current position and revenues.

In the meantime MUST and the Red Knights will continue to go about our preparations and be ready when the Glazers are prepared to take a realistic view on the valuation of the club.

A MUST spokesperson said:

"We completely support the stance of the Red Knights group not to pay a ridiculous premium price to the Glazers. We want to see investment in the club – not more money going into the Glazers pockets. After the damage that they have already inflicted on our club many supporters would feel sickened to see them walk away with a huge profit."

"In addition to the huge debt they’ve dumped on a previously profitable club they also wasted £443m in interest and fees – far more than the total (£398m) received from supporters in payment for tickets during their reign."

"So they’ve wasted every single penny we’ve paid for tickets over the entire 5 year period. No wonder so many supporters are considering switching from a season ticket to match by match attendance or delaying season ticket renewal until the Glazers agree to sell."

"Under a future structure where ownership is shared with supporters, compared to the current regime, there is the opportunity to tap into huge potential growth in revenue resulting from the enhanced affinity between the supporters and the club. We want to see that revenue reinvested into the club. There is no reason why Manchester United should not be able to compete for the very best players in the world and play in the best stadium as well as work towards the things that many supporters care about - rewarding the loyalty of its supporters with fair ticket distribution and pricing while working for the best matchday atmosphere, safe standing and fair treatment of our away support."

So supporters could have attended every game for the last 5 years free of charge and on top of that each season ticket holder could have been given a cash lumpsum of £800.
That is the cost of the Glazer ownership.

http://www.joinmust.org/blog
May 28 2010

A spokesman for the Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) said:

"The massive PR offensive currently being conducted by the Glazers' people is a clear indication that they are in trouble. We know their US businesses are in major financial difficulty and there is huge unrest at their American Football franchise too with Buccs fans up in arms refusing to renew season tickets due to lack of investment by the Glazers. Sounds familiar? The Glazers have said almost nothing for the last five years but all of a sudden with a supporter friendly takeover bid being assembled and supporters threatening not to renew season tickets they are in a real panic."

"Of course they won't say anything in person - they hide behind their PR people and club employees. David Gill wouldn't be defending them if he wasn't an employee. When the Glazers go perhaps we'll hear his true feelings. He can't possibly believe that the Glazers ownership has been good for Manchester United and the supporters. Is there anyone who isn't on the Glazers payroll who is saying the Glazers have been good for the club?"

"We don't need to listen to any spokesperson for the Glazers. The only way to judge their ownership is to strip away all the PR spin and look at the simple facts - what has been their net effect - how much money have they actually put into the club?"

"The fact is they've put no money in - not a single penny. The very opposite - they've taken huge amounts of money out. The money used to purchase the club went to the shareholders not the club and of course they borrowed the vast majority of that money and then transferred the debt to the club - effectively taking more than 500m of our club's money at a single stroke with a further more than 200m in PiKs debt growing year by year."

"But is doesn't stop there - during the period of the Glazers' ownership they have wasted £443m in fees and interest - more than the total ticket revenue (£398m) for the full 5 year period. In other words, without the Glazers' takeover, that money could have paid for every supporter to attend Old Trafford free of charge for the last 5 years and in addition pay every season ticket holder £800 cash lump sum each. But instead, under their ownership all that money has gone out of the club."

"That is the problem with the Glazers’ ownership. They have wasted every single penny supporters have paid for tickets over the entire 5 years of their ownership. Every single penny of OUR money which we paid to OUR club."
etc etc

MUST STATEMENT
We note stories appearing in the press today casting doubt on the determination of the Red Knights to make a bid to bring a new era of supporter ownership to Manchester United while releasing the club from the financial stranglehold of the Glazers' debt.

Of course we aren't able to respond directly to comments attributed to unnamed sources but what we can say is that the description of the progress of the Red Knight proposal in the press is not consistent with the view that we hold having being involved in direct ongoing discussions with the Red Knight group.

The Red Knights official spokeperson told us this afternoon "Talks are progressing very positively".

It should also be noted that contrary to some reports MUST has not called for a boycott although we are encouraging supporters to delay renewal of season tickets and executive facilities until at least the first deadline and ideally until a Red Knight bid comes forward. If the Glazers reject a bid or indeed are still here next season we will review that position accordingly.

An official statement that "renewals are on track" is not inconsistent with the view that there are likely to have been a very small number of renewals up to now, as in previous years, as there are still three and a half weeks to go to the first deadline which has traditionally been extended in any case.

In recent years there has been a concerted effort by the club to frighten supporters into renewing season tickets because a queue of people are waiting to take their seat. Any supporter trying to sell on an unwanted ticket this season knows how much demand has fallen and furthermore there have been sections of empty seating even for the biggest games (often tucked up out of sight in the top corners of the stadium) so clearly the mythical "waiting list" is little more than a cynical marketing ploy to dupe supporters.

Clearly the Glazers are worried about season ticket and executive renewals, impact on sponsorship and the general opposition to their ownership given the incredible momentum of the Green & Gold campaign and so are seeking to undermine supporter morale. If that is the case they are severely underestimating the determination of Manchester United supporters and the anger they feel about the millions of pounds the Glazers are taking out of our club every year.

Any supporter (especially Season Ticket holders) who wants to understand the Glazer problem in a really simple way - read this.

It really is incredible but the facts are there.

Since the Glazers took over they have wasted £437m in fees and interest - more than the TOTAL ticket revenue (£398m) for the full 5 year period of their ownership.

So every single penny we have paid for tickets over the last 5 years has been wasted.

Every single penny we've spent on our tickets over their entire 5 year ownership - wasted

Or put it another way every one of us could have:

attended every match free of charge for the last 5 years .....

on top of that the club could have given every Season Ticket holder £700 in cash each .....

and the club would still have been no worse off!

And this doesn't even include the £700m of debt they've dumped on the club either.

How long are we going to let them keep doing this to us and our club?

If you're a Season Ticket holder tell us what you intend to do regarding renewal here.

MUST LAUNCH "ONE LOVE" / "ARE YOU UNITED" POSTER CAMPAIGN

On Saturday 3rd April MUST - The Manchester United Supporters Trust unveiled the first of a series of Green & Gold campaign posters throughout
Manchester, calling on fans to join its membership.

The first poster appears at the most prestigious poster location in Manchester (at the junction of The Mancunian Way and Deansgate/Chester
Road) featuring the message "ARE YOU UNITED?" above the trust's website "www.joinmust.org".

The ARE YOU UNITED message will be followed, over the next few days, with a ONE LOVE message - both designed for MUST by leading branding agencies The Cernis Collective and Why Not Associates.

The posters will run across a number of weeks, covering at least the home games against Chelsea and the Champions League quarter final home leg against Bayern Munich. The posters will be running on five 48 sheet and three 96 sheet back-lit sites provided by two major billboard companies.

The poster sites include Chester Road near Old Trafford, the M602 on the way to Salford, and outside the MEN Arena.

Other similar activity will follow over the coming days and weeks to begin the process of turning passionate 'protesters' into committed 'investors' as part of any new ownership structure at Manchester United.

Duncan Drasdo, the Manchester United Supporters Trust chief executive said: "We're now approaching 150,000 members who've signed up at www.joinmust.org and we feel it is now the right time to add another dimension to our efforts with the help of the top professionals from the advertising industry. The MUST campaign is already taking on an unstoppable momentum and this is going to give a huge boost to morale and grow support further."

"For the remainder of the season, our priority is to recruit Season Ticket holders and those who use Executive facilities at Old Trafford, but this advertising campaign will soon be going global to reach out to United's worldwide fanbase and give every supporter the chance to own a share in Manchester United. This morning the member counter at www.joinmust.org showed 149,660 supporters had joined. That is almost twice the capacity of Old Trafford but we want to give every Manchester United supporter the chance to participate and share in the future ownership of their club."

Justin Cernis, founder of The Cernis Collective, added: "This is just the beginning of a series of advertising initiatives we're working on with MUST. We're delighted to be contributing to the process of helping to develop and propagate a compelling vision of how supporters can get involved in owning their clubs."

Blue State Digital to Boost the Manchester United Supporters' Green and Gold Campaign

MUST - the Manchester United Supporters' Trust has engaged Blue State Digital, the US-based Internet strategy and technology firm, to take the Green and Gold campaign to the next level.

Blue State Digital's founding partner led the digital strategy for Obama for America, executing online fundraising, organizing and communications strategies through social media for the campaign. The company's technology platform, licensed by hundreds of clients, was and continues to be the underpinning of the my.barackobama.com effort. In the UK since 2009, Blue State Digital has helped run campaigns for advocacy organisations – including the campaign against Royal Mail privatisation and the anti-BNP Hope not Hate campaign.

MUST CEO Duncan Drasdo said "We believe Manchester United supporters deserve the very best representation available and Blue State Digital has a track record which shows they are the best in the business. The challenge now is to spread the Green and Gold message from the twirling scarves at Old Trafford to the whole Manchester United supporter base around the world."

"Since the launch of the Green and Gold campaign MUST has had an astonishing increase in free online membership - 52,370 members as we go to press - and the member counter on the website is ticking over every minute."

"Initially we seek to double existing membership through the free online scheme to our first target of 100,000 campaign members and then we want to reach out to every single one of the millions of Manchester United supporters worldwide. Mass participation of supporters is essential if we are to achieve our long term aim of supporter ownership of Manchester United."

"Every supporter deserves the right to own a stake in their club and we've never had a better opportunity to make that a reality."

"Having a team that are at the cutting edge of using the newest tools and techniques to build effective campaign is a huge boost. This is our chance and we have to grab it with both hands."
[5] GREEN & GOLD INFECTS INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

[1] MUST APPROACHES 50,000 MEMBERS

As we write this MUST membership stands at 49,334 (view latest figure in
top right corner here http://www.joinmust.org/blog/ ). Let's drive that
past 50,000 tomorrow and then push on for the next milestone. We've already
surpassed the stadium capacities at Liverpool and City.

MUST > city

Newcastle next and then Old Trafford itself and on to Wembley.

Many people previously failed to realise the power of this huge membership
but now as our influence grows in the media, financial and political
circles it is becoming clear to everyone just how important these numbers
are. We'll be making a special announcement about our online campaign on
Monday which will take this to another level with the very best in the
business joining forces with MUST.

MUST is growing at an astonishing rate thanks to the efforts of many
members going out and recruiting. We need this to continue and you can help
to push us towards the next target of 100,000 reds all working together for
the good of Manchester United and the goal of supporter ownership at our
club in the future. Everyone can help by spreading the message of Green and
Gold to all the reds you work and socialise with and to any red friends you
know from around the world. Check your e-mail address book and all the
social media sites like facebook and send them this link (below) and ask
them to consider joining MUST and mention it's free to join. If you attend
games at Old Trafford then take a little time to ask match going reds and
Exec box holders to join the trust also.
http://www.joinmust.org/free

If you have your login details and list of email addresses you can use our
referral system here:
http://www.joinmust.org/refer

[2] THE GREEN AND GOALS CAMPAIGN

As the Green and Gold campaign goes from strength to strength the team
marches on in parallel. This is surely no coincidence.

In the seven games since the campaign started (strictly speaking Burnley
was the start of the "uprising" following the MUST/IMUSA meeting at
O'Briens and the unveiling of the LUHG flag on the Stretford End) United
have won 6 games including a fantastic away win at Arsenal, an impressive
performance at Villa Park playing with 10 men for most of the game and then
a stupendous 3 - 2 victory over AC Milan in the San Siro.

Burnley H 3 - 0
Hull City H 4 - 0
Man City H 3 - 1
Arsenal A 3 - 1
Portsmouth H 5 - 0
Aston Villa A 1 - 1
AC Milan A 3 - 2

United have scored an incredible 22 goals and the fantastic atmosphere
created from supporters wearing the colours of green and gold has been
transmitting to players on the pitch.

Whether at Old Trafford, The Emirates, Villa Park or the San Siro -
Fergie's wish has been granted. Reds have got behind the team noisy,
determined and newly optimistic about the potential future ownership of the
club by supporters of Manchester United.

The consensus from many reds is the atmosphere, certainly at Old Trafford
has been better than anyone can remember in recent times. In the game
against Man City the stadium shook with noise and it felt like a throwback
to thirty years ago, for those of us old enough to remember ;)

No supporter is being pushed into green and gold, above all, anyone
joining the campaign remains fully positive and 100% behind the team and in
their support for Sir Alex and the players on the field. However we are
still in the early days and every game more and more people are taking on
the colours of Green & Gold and banding together to campaign for a brighter
future for Manchester United.

Green & Gold is a fantastic visual unifying force linking to the pure
origins of the club and representing the aspirations of a growing and
unstoppable movement towards a change of ownership of our club and the
great thing is it is driving us on towards that 19th title at the same
time.

[3] GREEN & GOLD SCARVES ON MAIL ORDER & MATCHDAY

We have been selling the Green & Gold scarves at cost price to get the
campaign off the ground and up to critical mass. That has undoubtedly
already been achieved but we will continue to provide scarves on a matchday
and at our office to keep the momentum going. However we didn't really want
to get into the mail order business - certainly not at cost price - as
there are plenty of others already providing this service. However we've
had numerous messages from members saying they want to buy the scarves
online but they'd rather contribute to MUST than some other business.

Therefore we are making limited numbers of scarves available via our online
shop with all profits going to the MUST campaign. Note the displayed price
(7.50) already includes UK postage and packing. If you are outside the UK
please select the appropriate option otherwise your order can't be
dispatched.

PLEASE NOTE YOU DO NOT LOG IN WITH YOUR MUST MEMBERSHIP NUMBER. If you
haven't bought from the shop before you need to create a new shop account.

Scarves available here - 100% of profits go to the MUST campaign funds:
http://www.joinmust.org/shop/product.php?xProd=57

Scarves will continue to be available at cost from MUST on home matchdays
including West Ham on Tues 23rd Feb. They will be on sale from outside
Trafford House and near to the Bishop Blaise pub. Other locations to be
confirmed (possibly Platts and Premier Inn tbc). Please don't give
donations to anyone on the street or at other locations unless you are sure
they are genuine MUST sellers. We have no problem with entrepreneurs
selling scarves for profit (whatever spreads the message) as long as they
aren't claiming it is benefiting MUST.

[5] GREEN & GOLD INFECTS INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On the 24th/25th of July there is a football tournament held in Leeds where
over a thousand football fans will be gathering to represent the teams that
they support. The Manchester United fans team is extending their
involvement this year by taking part in the 'vets' category, and we're
looking for some over 30's to make up numbers in the squad. The team will
be entered as 'Man Utd - LUHG' and will wear green and gold. We'll be doing
whatever we can at the event to raise awareness of the green and gold
campaign.

Contact dougcrouch@hotmail.co.uk for details. We'll most likely play a few
warm-up games before July in the Manchester area.

chase them up to make sure they do:
http://www.joinmust.org/refer

MUST has grown rapidly in the last week - now more than 42,000 members. We
can double that if we all make the effort.

[b] Portsmouth - February 6th
Of course this is the Munich anniversary so that will be observed
appropriately. We will LARGE NUMBERS of volunteers to take small

[d] GREEN & GOLD - wear your colours with pride
The GREEN & GOLD campaign is about showing your opposition to the Glazer
regime in a very visible way by wearing the old GREEN & GOLD colours of the
original Newton Heath - the origin of Manchester United. It is important
not to get in people's faces with this - we want to persuade supporters to
join rather than get into arguments that turn them against the campaign.

MUST has been ordering GREEN & GOLD scarves as fast as as suppliers can
produce them and selling them at cost price (£2.50) to help get the GREEN &
GOLD "ideavirus" to critical mass. It looks like we're already there
judging by the colours on show at OT on Wednesday night. However we're
continuing with another 4000 in time for Portsmouth(H) on Feb 6th on sale
from outside MUST office on matchday. They'll also be available online
shortly. Street sellers have been posing as MUST sellers so don't give a
donation if they demand one or ask for more than £2.50. Safest to buy from
the MUST stalls or Premier Inn (formerly Golden Tulip).

T-Shirts United have also produced a special fundraising t-shirt - use this
link to give MUST a special commission:
http://www.tshirtsunited.com/affilia...on-tshirt.html
this link for future use:

[e] Donate - time and/or money
We've got a number of initiatives that are going to require significant
funding - web development, mailshots, PR stunts, GREEN & GOLD promotion.
These will be detailed in due course. If you'd like to help by donating to

[1] GREEN & GOLD REVOLUTION GATHERS PACE
Football Focus today - BBC1 12.15 Coverage of MUST, Green & Gold Campaign, Keith Harris on a possible buy out. T...ell your mates to watch and then get them to sign up as a free e- member.

Sorry - we know some won't get this message in time but worth sending for those that do.

The wheels of the Green & Gold Revolution are turning. MUST has had meetings with Keith Harris and separately with members of at least two other independent potential consortia. All involved are "Red to the core" United fans. It will need everyone to come together into a single force.

In any takeover MUST's role will be to bring the mass of supporters together with the "Red Knights" bringing the majority of the funds.

There is a long way to go before that point is reached and although MUST has grown rapidly to 42,000 members we need to kick on now and get every United supporter on board - especially the Season Ticket Holders.

Ask every United supporter you know to join MUST as a free e-member and chase them up to make sure they do:
http://www.joinmust.org/refer

[2] WE NEED YOUR HELP - TIME OR MONEY
We've got a number of initiatives that are going to require significant funding - web development, mailshots, PR stunts, GREEN & GOLD promotion. These will be detailed in due course. If you'd like to help by donating to MUST please do so via your account here:
https://www.joinmust.org/members/emsp.php

If you'd like to donate your time to the cause and especially if you have some specific skills you think will help please get in touch with the MUST office via the helpdesk. http://www.joinmust.org/help

Thanks to all those who've so generously donated already.

[1] YET MORE GLAZER FINANCIAL HORROR

[2] THE GLAZERS - WHAT YOU CAN DO

[3] GREEN & GOLD MUST FUNDRAISER - MANCHESTER THIS SUNDAY - ARSENAL CHUBB
CLUB - FREE G&G SCARF

[1] YET MORE GLAZER FINANCIAL HORROR

Not only did the bond issue allow the Glazers to take up to £130 million
out of Manchester United in the first year and up to £500 million pounds
over the bond issue but new evidence uncovered by MUST member "Andersred"
suggests they do have every intention to take up to £400 million in
dividends.
http://andersred.blogspot.com/2010/0...-take-out.html

This is a necessarily technical document but it is the duty of every loyal
Manchester United supporter to use the anger the Glazers' plans and actions
provoke to motivate ourselves into positive action. Who are the MUGS who
bought the bonds. They made a paper loss as soon as they started to trade -
so much for being oversubscribed!

[2] THE GLAZERS - WHAT YOU CAN DO

The MUST strategy is based on three strands which might be summarised as
Supporters, Political, Financial.

We'll go into more detail in due course but suffice to say growing the
network of Manchester United supporters is the most important single thing
any of us can do right now. See RECRUIT below. Building a huge
international network of Manchester United supporters is crucial not just
in order to whield a big enough stick to persuade the Glazers to go but
also to form a significant group to participate in any future ownership
structure.

The financial component is really encouraging. We have been approached by a
number of super rich/influential United supporters interested in exploring
the options for a change of ownership. The individuals are high profile and
totally credible. If/when they choose to go public is a matter for them but
we will be appealing for all those potentially interested in participating
in future ownership of Manchester United to join us or make contact now.

If we're going to win this battle and prevent them from doing any more
damage to our club it is going to require the whole of the Manchester
United family to come together from your ordinary supporter to the wealthy
"Red Knights". We understand the mood has already changed within Old
Trafford as everyone realises they have to go sooner rather than later.

ACTIONS:
[a] Ask every United supporter you know to join MUST as a free e-member and
chase them up to make sure they do:
http://www.joinmust.org/refer

MUST has grown rapidly in the last week - now more than 41,000 members. We
can double that if we all make the effort.

[b] Sign the Number 10 petition. We understand this was created by a MUST
(e)member. Well done to Andrew Henderson for getting off his backside to
take action:
Wording starts: "We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to believe
the Government should urgently take action on behalf of all football
supporters to prevent Manchester United Football Club (and other English
football clubs) being destroyed by corporate greed ...."
Sign here:
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/football4fans/

[c] GREEN & GOLD - wear your colours with pride

However we're
continuing with another 2000 in time for Portsmouth(H) on Feb 6th on sale
from outside MUST office on matchday.

MUST will get a 10% commission on all other products too so please bookmark
this link for future use:

[d] Donate - time and/or money
We've got a number of initiatives that are going to require significant
funding - web development, mailshots, PR stunts, GREEN & GOLD promotion.
These will be detailed in due course. If you'd like to help by donating to
MUST please do so via your account here:
https://www.joinmust.org/members/emsp.php
some specific skills you think will help please get in touch with the MUST
office via the helpdesk.

A peaceful protest against the Glazer ownership of Manchester United took place near the end of the game yesterday with a flag being unfurled from Tier 2 of the Stretford End which was accompanied by loud chants of Glazers Out.

Witnesses said the response of the Manchester United security staff was brutal and almost certainly illegal.

MUST chief executive Duncan Drasdo said "What exactly did these supporters do wrong? Is it illegal to make a peaceful protest about the ownership of our football club? Questions need to be asked by the authorities about the stewards actions, the suppression of free speech and the right to make a peaceful protest."

"We also understand that a number of supporters were detained/ejected who did not have any involvement in the protest but were simply sitting in the front row. We urge anyone affected and other witnesses to contact MUST."

"There is a huge upsurge of anti-Glazer feeling since the publication of the bond prospectus with more than 1,000 new members joining MUST in the last 2 days. It is crucial to link all United supporters together through the supporters trust to bring pressure to bear on the owners."
